"Saglasie 1869" Community Center was founded on October 1, 1869. Since 1946, the community center has had a 3-story building in the center of Pleven. Folk ensembles and formations FOLK ENSEMBLE "MIZIA" AND CLUB "KAILKA" with chief artistic director Mihail Denev and choreographers Bilyana Deneva and Detelin Petrov BALLET SCHOOL and CLASSICAL BALLET STUDIO with chief artistic director Manya Nikolova and teachers Valya Kozovska and Olya Stoyanova SCHOOL OF MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY BALLET VOCAL GROUP "ARLEKINO" - for rock and pop music, with artistic director Violeta Boyanova VOCAL STUDIO "HARMONIA" with managers Violeta Boyanova and Georgi Miltiadiov VOCAL GROUP "SILVER NOTES" YOUTH THEATER SCHOOL "ISKRI" headed by Orhan Tair SKS "Spartak Pleven XXI" is one of the leading chess clubs in the country. SC "SPARTAKISTS" Library fund as of 31.12.2025 - 225,344 library items; fund "Rare and valuable editions", a complete collection of Pleven periodicals and central press, incl. full run of the State Gazette from 1882, etc., most digitized and available from the digital library on the site.
