Perperikon — Kardzhali

Perperikon is a rock sanctuary of the Thracian Bessi tribe, carved into volcanic rocks at 470 m altitude near Kardzhali. It is considered one of Europe's oldest megalithic sanctuaries, associated with the cult of Dionysus and prophecies about Alexander the Great.
