"Wagner Gala" with emblematic fragments of the opera "Valkyrie"

The performance is performed in German with subtitles in Bulgarian and English. The Wagner Gala presents the majesty of Richard Wagner's music with selected scenes from the opera Valkyrie. Conducted by Svetoslav Borisov, the orchestra of the Varna State Opera will fill the Summer Theater with the powerful timbres and dramatic sweep of Wagner's score. Director Vera Nemirova offers a visually impactful interpretation that emphasizes the heroism and emotional depth of the scenes in the first act and the most affecting fragments of the opera's third act.

The Stoyan Bachvarov Drama Theatre was founded in 1921 and is the oldest professional theatre in Varna. It has a Main Stage, Branch Stage, and Chamber Hall. The repertoire includes classic and contemporary plays, comedies, dramas, and children's performances. The theatre is named after the actor Stoyan Bachvarov and is a stage where generations of Bulgarian actors have performed.
