First theatrical production of the novel "Tobacco" by Dimitar Dimov - beloved by generations of Bulgarians! For the dramatization, Yuriy Dachev used the original, uncensored version of the novel, published in December 1951, 70 years before the premiere in the Varna Theater. "Tobacco" is a knife-to-the-throat performance. The world is consumed by war. People fight for power, money, dominance over the other. A shocking and sensual spectacle about an impossible love. "Tobacco" is a provocation for the theater, for the actors, for the viewer, and for the director Bina Haralampieva. A performance in which the viewer will rediscover many topical themes that connect past and present.

The Stoyan Bachvarov Drama Theatre was founded in 1921 and is the oldest professional theatre in Varna. It has a Main Stage, Branch Stage, and Chamber Hall. The theatre is named after the actor Stoyan Bachvarov and is a stage where generations of Bulgarian actors have performed.
