"Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"
About this event
A new author's ballet performance, the work of the chief ballet master Sergey Bobrov, is presented by the Varna State Opera. "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" follows the classic fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm, interpreted in numerous films, the most famous of which are the animated and live-action versions by Disney. Bobrov selects excerpts from the works of three composers: Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff and Puni. Parts of their symphonies and concerts are played in the ballet performance. The choreography is classical with neoclassical elements, and the staging is based on the fairy-tale stylistics of the ballets of the 19th century. The set, costumes and mapping are by Anna Nezhnaya and immerse the audience in the magical forest atmosphere among deer, rabbits, pigeons and more forest animals.
