"Mermaid"
About this event
Through the tragic fate of the heroine, the opera poses questions about the impossible relationship between the vast world of natural elements and the world of people, caused by technological progress, alienation from nature and consumer passion in human beings. Dvořák's work is not just a romantic tale of impossible love, but a philosophical reflection on man and the world he tries to subjugate.
