About this event
A story of love, dreams and the inevitable blows of fate, based on the short story "Ladies in Purple" by the English writer William John Locke. In the mid-1930s, time has stood still in the small English town of Cornwall. Sisters Janet and Ursula Widdington live peacefully in their small house on the coast. Until one stormy night, when the sea dumps a wounded castaway on their doorstep. The Widdington sisters, along with local doctor Dr. Med, help him recover. And they get attached to it. A mysterious artist arrives in Cornwall, who discovers the extraordinary talent of a violinist in the young castaway. The lives of the Widdington sisters will never be the same again.
