About this event
Varna State Opera celebrates the 90th anniversary of the birth of the great opera singer Nikola Guselev with the monumental opera "Don Carlos" by Giuseppe Verdi, inspired by historical events and Schiller's drama, one of the largest works in the opera repertoire. The production by director Nina Naydenova unfolds the dramatic clash between power, duty and personal feelings in a highly affecting stage environment, and under the conductorship of maestro Grigor Palikarov, Verdi's music sounds with all its emotional power and scope.
