"Bohemia"
About this event
La Bohème is considered one of Puccini's most perfect operas. The libretto is based on the novella "Scenes from the Life of the Bohemians" by Henri Murger. The plot is close to Puccini, as it reminds him of his student years and his cohabitation with Massenet. He worked with great desire on this opera and completed it in eight months. The action takes place in Paris in 1830. The first performance took place on February 1, 1896 in Turin, conducted by Arturo Toscanini.
