Created after Disney's hit animated film of the same name, the show takes viewers of all ages on an exciting journey on Aladdin's magic carpet together with Princess Jasmine and the Genie of the lamp. The film's soundtrack is among the most listened to in the world and was written by the master of the musical Alan Menken, who received two Oscars for it – for original film score and for the song "A whole new world." Varna State Opera's production is lavish, colorful and captivating, the work of director Petko Bonev and conductor Stratsimir Pavlov, with choreography by Anna Pampulova and the beautiful set design and costumes by Asya Stoimenova.

The Summer Theatre in the Sea Garden of Varna is an open-air stage with a capacity of over 2,500 seats, set among the greenery of the oldest seaside park in Bulgaria. From June to September, it hosts opera and ballet performances, symphonic concerts, and music festivals under the stars. The Summer Theatre is an iconic venue for Varna's culture and one of the most beautiful open-air theatres in Southeastern Europe.
