Cycling, Mountain running: Zlatograd Bike n'Run 2026

ZLATOGRAD BIKE n’RUN 2026 is here!!! We've prepared it, wrapped it, put the ribbon on it and can't wait to bring it to you! For the third year in a row, we promised you surprises and we won't let you down! So we start straight with the nail in the 2026 program – CROSS-BORDER ROUTES FOR MOUNTAIN BIKING AND RUNNING!!! That's right, you got it right – this year you will be able to ride and run in neighboring Greece and enjoy the Rhodope Mountains and “on the other side” ? In cooperation with our Greek partners, we managed to prepare two amazing cycling and running routes, which start/finish in Zlatograd, but also include almost half the kilometers in Greek territory. Competitors who chose the cross-border routes will pass through several Greek villages and hamlets, where time seems to have stopped about 100 years ago, before crossing back the Bulgarian border and finishing in Zlatograd. But the surprises don't end there! The 25 and 50 kilometer mountain running routes are completely new and will take you through almost all the villages of the Zlatograd municipality. Okay, 25 km only halfway? The master cyclists will cycle 50 and a half kilometers, passing through Greece, and after them, runners will run along the new 35 kilometer cross-border route! Yiiii… maybe these are the main novelties for 2026. We didn't have the heart to change the notorious (already) 35 kilometer MTB route. After the compliments we got on it in 2025, we're leaving it intact this year as well. We decided to only release the “electric“ on it, so that e-bikers don't think so much about where to save batteries. The 14 km course for more athletic runners and cyclists (or for the fastest among them) also remains unchanged so that everyone can find a suitable challenge for themselves! The duathlon discipline once again combines 35 km of MTB and 14 km of trail running. The sight of children playing sports has always given meaning to all our efforts, and that is why we value their participation in the competition so much. As always, it will be free and rewarded with many gifts, countless smiles and unforgettable emotions. Once again, we will expect our smallest friends to race on specially developed tracks, be it on a bike or a horse. The whole Sunday day will be reserved just for them!
