Dialogues IV: curatorial project from November 1 to 19, 2026

From November 1 to 19, 2026, Le Papillon Art Gallery is pleased to present the fourth edition of the curatorial project "Dialogues" - the result of an initiated creative provocation to several artists. With the successful presentation of the first three editions of the project, the foundations of a new tradition were laid, uniting contemporary Bulgarian artists from different genres and generations. The project is confirmed as a successful initiative, passing through several stages - provocation, discussion, theme, dialogue, finished work, the culmination of which is the presentation of the works in an exhibition. The opening of the exhibition on November 1st is also the event that the gallery team has chosen to celebrate the Day of the People's Awakeners and nineteen years of active presence in the exhibition cultural calendar for audiences not only from the city of Varna. The curatorial project expresses one of the main missions of the gallery to provoke, mediate and realize a dialogue, both between the artists themselves and between artists and the public. At the core of its concept is the idea that the gallery should provoke recognized artists, recognizable faces of Bulgarian contemporary visual art, inviting five authors to each edition. Each of them in turn chooses an interlocutor for a joint dialogue filled with the means of fine art. In the 5 dialogue pairs formed, the names of magnificent artists whose creative energy carries a strong charge, skills and reactivity are recognized. The topics chosen by each couple for a kind of painting-sculpture dialogue also arouse curiosity: "Female presence": Atanas Parushev - Galab Galabov "Metamorphoses": Bozhidar Tonev - Yavora Petrova "North Sea": Desislava Mincheva - Dolores Dilova "Parallel worlds": Ivan Obretenov – Hristo Hristov "OVER-TONES": Petya Deneva - Simeon Stoilov The desire of the gallery is to initiate the creation of new works, of a completely new cultural product of high artistic value, through dialogues between artists who are at small or large distances, like each other's work and provoke each other. And provocation in art gives impetus to the development of artists and increases its artistic value. Come to the opening of the exhibition on 01.11.2026 /Sunday/ at 17.00 in the exhibition hall of the Art Gallery Le Papillon to share our holiday, which is also a holiday for all the followers of our activity, authors with whom we work and admirers of valuable art! Again, in addition to the works resulting from the "Dialogues" between the artists, we also have the honor and the opportunity to enjoy several musical performances by the laureates of the International Flute Competition with piano accompaniment.
