The 1830s house of merchant Balabanov is a fine example of Plovdiv Revival architecture with rich woodcarving and murals. Located στην Παλιά Πόλη, it serves as a μουσείο and gallery for temporary έκθεσηs, with a garden offering views of the θρακικό Plain.
